1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Docu Island services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use our services. Docu Island is operated by Novio Group, a Bahamian company.

2. Description of Services

Docu Island provides cloud-based document & records management services, including document storage, organization, scanning, workflow automation, and related features. Services are provided on a subscription basis with various plan options.

3. Account Registration

To use our services, you must:

• Provide accurate, complete, and current information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content
• Violate any laws or regulations
• Interfere with or disrupt our services
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use our services to transmit malware or spam
• Reverse engineer or copy our software
• Share your account credentials with others

5. Your Content

You retain all rights to the content you upload to Docu Island. By uploading content, you grant us a license to:

• Store and process your content to provide our services
• Make backup copies for disaster recovery
• Display your content to authorized users you designate

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload all content and that it does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

6. Payment Terms

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. You agree to:

• Pay all fees associated with your selected plan
• Provide valid payment information
• Authorize automatic recurring billing
• Pay any applicable taxes

Fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We may change our fees with 30 days notice.

7. Data Sovereignty and Storage

All customer data is stored on servers located in The Bahamas and remains subject to Bahamian law. We maintain industry-standard security measures and backup procedures. While we take data protection seriously, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of critical data.

8. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice. We are not liable for service interruptions caused by factors beyond our reasonable control.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate these terms:

• You may cancel your subscription at any time
• We may suspend or terminate accounts for terms violations
• We may terminate with 30 days notice for any reason

Upon termination, you have 30 days to download your data. After this period, we may delete your data.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Docu Island and Novio Group shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Docu Island and Novio Group from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of our services, your content, or your violation of these terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of The Bahamas.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through our service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
